During this session, Georgina asked us to create an artist manifesto on inDesign on the macs. We were encouraged to write a 10 point artist manifesto featuring two fonts and a limited colour palette. This was a really useful exercise because it encouraged us to think about what we thought was productive to our work and to experiment with type by being limited to only two fonts. Within my manifesto, I wanted to highlight the things I struggle with within my processes in work, such as finding inspiration and motivation etc.
By using only two fonts we have to experiment more with the different weights and spacing of the fonts to highlight what we felt was the most interesting and poignant points, and also by experimenting with spacing with points that were shorter than the others in order to create a more even weight over-all.
